Record assoluto per ‘I peccatori’: 16 Nominations
Oscar 2026 le Nomination.
Vengono finalmente svelati i candidati alla 98ª edizione degli Oscar. Dopo una corsa altalenante, che ha visto membri dell’Academy inizialmente incerti su quali film inserire nelle varie nomination, abbiamo l’annuncio ufficiale.
Nella giornata di oggi, al Samuel Goldwyn Theather di Los Angeles, sono stati presentati i film canditati alle 24 categorie degli Oscar di quest’anno. L’aggiunta al premio per il Casting è stata una novità molto apprezzata ed ha spinto l’Academy, in vista della 100ª edizione, ad aggiungerne un altro per premiare il difficile e spesso pericoloso lavoro degli stuntman.
I Peccatori 16 candidature, Una battaglia dopo l’altra 13.
Giornata da record quella di oggi. È infatti la prima volta in assoluto che un film riesce a portarsi a casa ben 16 candidature. Era già noto quanto l’Academy apprezzasse il lavoro di Ryan Coogler, sceneggiatore e regista di Sinners, un horror capace di rompere le barriere di un genere che pochissime volte ha avuto apprezzamenti da questo tipo di cerimonie. Il record era, fino ad ora, detenuto da Eva contro Eva, Titanic e La La Land, tutti con 14 nomination.
A seguire, con 13 candidature, Una battaglia dopo l’altra, l’ultima epopea scritta e diretta da Paul Thomas Anderson. Le nomination spaziano tra miglior film, attori (protagonisti e non), regia, sceneggiatura e vari comparti tecnici. Subito dietro abbiamo il tanto atteso Marty Supreme (da oggi nelle sale italiane), film che potrebbe inoltre consacrare Timotheé Chalamet tra gli attori vincitori della statuetta. L’opera di Josh Safdie condivide 9 candidature con l’inaspettato Frankenstein, del geniale Guillermo del Toro, e il film norvegese Sentimental Value. Infine abbiamo Hamnet, con 8 nomination, a chiudere la lista dei film che, secondo l’Academy, hanno fatto da opere-chiave di quest’anno.
Italia fuori dalla 98ª edizione degli Oscar
L’edizione di quest’anno potrebbe essere una delle più sorprendenti dell’ultimo periodo, ma vede purtroppo la mancanza dell’Italia tra le tante candidature proposte. Nonostante sapessimo di non poter entrare nella categoria di miglior film straniero, le nostre speranze erano riposte in Matteo Buraro e nel suo Playing God, corto di 9 minuti in stop-motion entrato nella short list dei 15 titoli presi in considerazione per il premio, che però non riesce a regalare all’Italia la prima nomination in assoluto per la categoria Animated Short Film.
