Emmy Awards 2024 i vincitori sono stati annunciati . Per la seconda volta quest’anno, Hollywood ha radunato i suoi più grandi talenti televisivi per celebrare i migliori del piccolo schermo. Dopo il rinvio della cerimonia del 2023 a gennaio 2024 a causa degli scioperi che hanno colpito Hollywood lo scorso anno, sono passati solo otto mesi dall’ultimo incontro dei protagonisti della TV presso il LA Live Peacock Theatre di Los Angeles per annunciare i vincitori degli Emmy.

Ancora una volta, The Bear si è dimostrato un grande protagonista della serata. Gli attori Jeremy Allen White e Ebon Moss-Bachrach hanno riconquistato rispettivamente i premi come miglior attore e miglior attore non protagonista in una commedia, mentre la co-protagonista Colón-Zayas ha ottenuto il suo primo Emmy come attrice non protagonista. Jean Smart di Hacks ha vinto il premio per la miglior attrice in una commedia e, in una delle sorprese più grandi della notte, Hacks di HBO ha trionfato come miglior commedia, superando The Bear, che molti consideravano il favorito.

The Bear ha superato il proprio record di vittorie per una sola stagione, ottenendo ben 11 trofei, inclusa la direzione per Christopher Storer. Anche FX ha avuto una grande serata con Shogun, che ha vinto il premio per la miglior serie drammatica, il miglior attore per Hiroyuki Sanada, la miglior attrice per Anna Sawai e la miglior regia per Frederick E.O. Toye. Dopo aver conquistato 14 Creative Arts Emmys il weekend scorso, Shogun ha battuto il record per il maggior numero di premi vinti da uno show in una sola stagione, estendendo tale record a 18 vittorie.

Il successo di Netflix con Baby Reindeer è stato altrettanto significativo, con il creatore Richard Gadd che ha vinto i premi come miglior attore e per la scrittura. La sua co-protagonista, Jessica Gunning, che ha interpretato la stalker Martha, ha conquistato il premio come miglior attrice non protagonista. Jodie Foster ha ottenuto il primo Emmy della sua carriera grazie alla sua interpretazione in True Detective: Night Country di HBO.

L’Eugene e Dan Levy, noti per Schitt’s Creek e vincitori di Emmy, hanno ospitato la 76° edizione degli Emmy Awards. Happy Days ha festeggiato il suo 50° anniversario con Henry Winkler e Ron Howard che sono apparsi sul palco per una ricreazione del set dello show.

Diversi altri gruppi di famosi genitori televisivi, come George Lopez, Damon Wayans e Jesse Tyler Ferguson, si sono riuniti per presentare una categoria, così come le iconiche mamme Connie Britton, Meredith Baxter e Susan Kelechi Watson; i cattivi Antony Starr, Giancarlo Esposito e Kathy Bates; i dottori come Mindy Kaling, Zach Braff e Mekhi Phifer; e molti altri.
