One Battle After Another e Hamnet hanno conquistato i premi principali all’83ª edizione dei Golden Globe Awards. The Studio è stata nominata miglior serie TV (musical o commedia), mentre The Pitt ha vinto come miglior serie TV (drammatica). Il premio per la miglior miniserie o serie antologica è andato a Adolescence.

One Battle After Another ha vinto come miglior film (musical o commedia), mentre Hamnet è stato incoronato miglior film (drammatico). È stata una grande serata per Warner Bros. Discovery, che ha prodotto One Battle After Another e The Pitt. One Battle After Another ha ottenuto quattro premi, tra cui quelli per la sceneggiatura e la regia a Paul Thomas Anderson. Hamnet ha vinto due statuette, tra cui quella per la miglior attrice a Jessie Buckley. Il film è stato prodotto da Focus Features.

Adolescence, sostenuta da Netflix, ha vinto quattro premi in totale, il numero più alto tra le serie TV. Stephen Graham ha vinto come miglior attore in una miniserie, mentre Erin Doherty e Owen Cooper hanno vinto rispettivamente come miglior attrice e miglior attore non protagonisti in una serie TV drammatica.

Diversi vincitori hanno richiamato l’attenzione su temi di compassione e dialogo.

I principali premi di recitazione cinematografica sono andati a Rose Byrne, miglior attrice in un musical o commedia per If I Had Legs I’d Kick You, e a Timothée Chalamet, miglior attore in un musical o commedia per Marty Supreme.

In ambito televisivo, Noah Wyle ha vinto come miglior attore in una serie TV drammatica, mentre Rhea Seehorn ha ottenuto il premio come miglior attrice nella stessa categoria. Seth Rogen è stato nominato miglior attore in una serie TV comica, mentre Jean Smart ha vinto come miglior attrice in una serie TV comica.

Michelle Williams ha vinto il suo terzo Golden Globe come miglior attrice in una miniserie.

Teyana Taylor ha vinto come miglior attrice non protagonista, mentre Stellan Skarsgård ha ottenuto il premio come miglior attore non protagonista.

Per la prima volta nella storia dei Golden Globe è stato assegnato anche un premio ai podcast, vinto da Good Hang With Amy Poehler.

KPop Demon Hunters ha vinto due riconoscimenti, tra cui miglior film d’animazione e miglior canzone originale. The Secret Agent è stato nominato miglior film internazionale.

Il premio per il miglior special di stand-up comedy è andato a Mortality di Ricky Gervais.

Sinners ha vinto il premio per il miglior risultato cinematografico e al botteghino.
